LAHTF returned to Hollywood's world famous TCL CHINESE THEATRE with our signature ALL ABOUT behind-the-scenes tour, our first since the theatre's 2013 IMAX conversion.

 

Attendees were treated to exclusive tours of backstage areas at the TCL Chinese Theatre which are normally off-limits to the public.

 

Original stencils, used in the original decoration of the historic movie theatre back in 1927, were on display from the LAHTF archives.

 

Top experts from IMAX ran a demo reel for attendees and then conducted an exclusive Q&A on the technologies underlying IMAX and the challenges of fitting IMAX into the historic TCL Chinese Theatre.

 

Restoration artist Amy Higgins was on-site to discuss the ongoing preservation efforts at the TCL Chinese Theatre with attendees, including showing works-in-progress and discussing past restoration projects. For more details check out Amy's website here.

 

Last but not least, all attendees who stayed for the lunchtime showing of TERMINATOR: DARK FATE were treated to a free popcorn and soda!
