About the Film

Dos tipos de cuidado is a romantic comedy featuring Jorge Negrete and Pedro Infante, two of the biggest stars of Mexico’s Golden Age of Cinema. Negrete and Infante play best friends Jorge Bueno and Pedro Malo; their friendship falls apart when Pedro marries Jorge’s former girlfriend.

With music by acclaimed songwriter and composer Manuel Esperón, superstars Negrete and Infante light up the screen in the film’s musical scenes. Dos tipos de cuidado is the only film in which both of these iconic actors appear onscreen together.

The film’s acclaimed director, Ismael Rodriguez, worked with the best Mexican and international actors and made some of the most memorable movies of the time.

This year marks the thirtieth season of Last Remaining Seats! To celebrate, we’re showing some of the best films screened over the past three decades. We screened Dos tipos de cuidado at the Los Angeles Theatre in 2006.
